HILLCREST GUIDE SERVICE is located in Ash Fork, Arizona, the middle of Northern Arizona’s premier Game and Fish Unit 10. HILLCREST GUIDE SERVICE is available to provide you a Professional Guide for your hunt statewide for any of your tags for all of Arizona's big game species which include Elk, Deer, Antelope, Bear, Mountain Lion and Javelina.
HILLCREST GUIDE SERVICE offers a fully outfited camp statewide, fine lodging if hunting in Unit 8 or 10, or a Guide only service.
Arizona’s hunting is on a lottery basis for Elk, Deer, Antelope, Spring Bear, and Javelina hunts. Over-the-counter archery tags are available as well for Deer. Bear and Mountain Lion tags can be purchased over the counter. An Arizona hunting license is required for all hunts. Please be aware that entry for Arizona’s Lottery Draw is due the 2nd Tuesday in February (Elk, Antelope), June (Deer), and October (Spring Javelina, Bear).

We specialize in Unit 10 and 8, but offer success in any of the Units Arizona has to offer.
If you choose us as your guide service, Caleb will be your guide and contact person. You will not be passed off to someone else with less experience. We treat every tag as if it were our own, have an aggressive hunting style, and ask that you are motivated for success. The ability to hike is required, and proper gear is very helpful. We can help prepare you if you aren’t familiar with the climate/terrain.
Caleb was born and raised in Arizona and has been hunting this country for over 25 years and has covered most of the Northern units on foot. His Grandfather hunted and guided in Arizona most of his life and showed him how to hunt this country and now it is Caleb’s turn to put his knowledge and passion for hunting to use for you. My experience with Hillcrest Guide Service was excellent.
Caleb is very knowledgeable and had great gut instincts when it came to locating and finding game. I had a unit 10 archery antelope and Unit 10 archery bull tag to fill. I chose to allocate more days to the elk hunt and a few to the Antelope hunt. He put me in close on several different occasions with the antelope and due to my excitement and they're cunning speed I was unable to connect with an antelope.
My elk hunt was a success on closing day. We were in close with several bulls throughout the entire hunt. Due to thick nature of their country it was tough to get a shot and the lack of rut but we got it done and he helped me push through all the way till the end and never gave up. You can tell that Caleb spends every spare second in the woods paying attention to what all animals are doing and where they spend their time.
If I had been more experience in the archery aspect we would have killed more quickly I'm sure. I made a lot of rookie moves on both hunts and Caleb was always there with confidence to keep me going and I'll always thank him for that and all the cool memories and great stories we exchanged.
